ttc @ 38 using Gonol F & Ovidrill injections...

I have been on Gonol F (150) & Ovidril injections for several months and starting to doubt if it's really working for me/us. I?m on day 11 of cycle & waiting to hear from Dr regarding the pelvic US follicular study and blood work that was done this morning.... We are not doing the iui or the ivf routes - is this a mistake? Due to insurance coverage?s we decided to go this route ?. We did get pregnant in Feb/March but embryo stopped growing at 7weeks and so we are now trying again - I?m hitting the depression stage and starting to question what I am doing as I feel I am constantly thinking baby baby baby... I?m older & got married for the 1st time late in life so we started trying few months after we got married ? Now two yrs later and everyone seems to be pregnant around me and the only thing I?m growing is fat & swollen from the injections and hormones! What do I need to be looking for, asking questions about or doing that can help me along and get me out of this depression funk? My husband would greatly appreciate any help/advise you can give me?

    Do you go in for bloodwork and ultrasounds? To see how you are responding to the meds? To see how many follicles you have and what sizes they are?

    From what I understand you are doing these injections and having timed intercourse?

    I am so very sorry for your loss.

     

    To keep me from being totally depressed, I try to focus on what I do have and rely on support from others.

    If you could give more details about what issues you have (don't ovulate, low sperm count, etc..) that would help in getting some advice on if what you're doing worked for others. Good luck
