Parenting after a Loss

Free to a good home

one husband.

This is going to turn into a vent ladies- don't say i didn't warn you. Since Sawyer was born I have gotten up with him every.singe.time in the middle of the night.Even when we were in the hospital recovering from a c-section he refused to get up and help. I wake up with him every.single.morning. and let DH sleep in on the weekends. Last night I was exhausted and DS decided he wanted to stay up past his usual bedtime. I made a bottle and kindly asked DH if he would put the baby to bed so I could go to sleep.

His response...I'll stay up with him for a little while, but I may have to come wake you up to take him if it's too late. This coming from the man who has stayed up late everynight this week to play video games. WTF? I'm not going to bed only to be woken in an hour. After I shot him the look of death (which unfortunately didn't work) he agreed to stay up with him. Later I heard him down the hall yelling at the baby because DS wouldn't go to sleep. WTF? Who does that?

I am so angry with him right now. I can't believe he yelled at his son. I was supposed to have a girls' night out next week and go to a concert, but now I don't know that I want to leave DS alone with him all night. I really need the time out, but I'm worried for DS. I know he'd never physically hurt him but still.

And to complete it- the azzhat forgot my birthday yesterday.

On second thought I'm switching to bribery. I'll give somebody this yummy ice cream if they take him! I

  • No Mammela.  That would not fly with me.  I'd have to regulate.  You're raising 2 babies.

  • Wow....not being able to trust your husband to take care of (and not yell at for acting like a normal baby) your son is a red flag...I hope you heed it.

  • Wow. I am so sorry that you're having to deal with this. The two of you need to sit down and have a serious talk asap. Not being able to control his frustration and temper is very concerning.
