Kaiser online for your LO?

I'm online with Kaiser, and I love it. I've been "acting for a family member" aka DD and for some reason, when I "switch" to her "account", it won't let me view anything...her vaccinations, her appointments, emailing her pedi...nothing. I've been told several times to just either wait a day or two (for some reason they think I just signed up, but I've been signed up since DD was 4 weeks old) or to "keep trying". Has this happened to anyone else? I'm going to call Kaiser tech support (if I can) tomorrow, but I was wondering if I'm not alone in this.

  • Mine has always worked...haven't had any issues with anything.

I hope they can get it figured out for you soon!

  • You aren't alone. Next time you are at Kaiser go request an account of her own for you. It is a PITA to switch in and out but at least you can see all the info.
  • I never had a problem with it.

  • I haven't had a problem either but I seem to remember that when I go online to make my kids appts, I don't switch members. It'll ask me if I'm making the appt for myself or someone else then I'll have to enter their ID number.
  • Mine definitely took a few days before I could do anything, and I just waited it out.  The only thing that bugs me about it is that I can't view or change her appointments at all- it's not "allowed" when I'm acting for her.  I got the impression that I could only do that by phone.  But I can email her doctor and everything else.

  • When I tried to access DS' account it prompted me to request some code (that gets mailed to you) so I could access to everything.

To schedule or change appointments, don't change the member, do it as yourself on behalf of her. It's strange but that's how it works.
