Cloth Diapering

Which do you prefer? T&T or serged?

I have some T&T fitteds - Sbish snapless mostly and I also have 2 ODC and 2 SBD fitteds on the way that will be T&T.

I also have some serged fitteds - Sbish obfs, old GMs and B4s.

I'm not sure which I prefer.  The serged is better for keeping the EBF poo in but it can leave red marks on legs.  T&T can leave gaps though.

So do you have a preference and why?

Re: Which do you prefer? T&T or serged?

  • Right now I prefer T&T (though I'm still using our serged) because I have had the serged leave marks.  Also DS is a skinny boy (23rd percentile for weight, 75th for height), so I'm also not really worried about him outgrowing the width of the diapers any time soon.  If your baby is chunky you might want to keep that in mind.  I haven't had any problems with the T&T leaving gaps, and they seem to hold poo just fine.

  • I don't really have a preference - T&T looks nicer and is less likely to irritate but serged has more give.

  • I like the way T&T looks.  It is all I buy.  But, I would probably do a serged if I really liked the pattern.

  • I prefer the look of T&T, but I like the stretchiness of serged.  I worry that serged will irritate DD's chubby thighs, but so far so good.  I only have 2 serged fitteds, but I may get some more.
