What kind of car seat should I get???
Hi Fellow Mom's and Mom's to be!!
I really need advise. I'm 22 weeks pregnant and this is my first child. My husband and I want to get started on our registry. I've worked in a daycare so as far as caring for my son, I'm all set however, I need help choosing a car seat that is safe for my new little guy. Money is not an issue, I would spend anything as long as I know my child will be safe. Please help, I'm looking for suggestions so I can start my search.

We used consumerreports.org to get info on the different car seat ratings. It really helped us narrow down the selection. Once we chose a few, we looked at them in the store- taking them out and putting them in the base, tried the stroller (if it was a travel system), and checking the weight of the carrier. After we picked the one that was the easiest for us to use, we tried it out in our car (Babies R Us allows you to leave an ID and take the base & carrier to your car to test the fit). We selected the Chicco KeyFit30 after we did all this.
Remember- just because it costs more, doesn't mean it is safer :-)
We got the Chicco KeyFit30 as well.
