Name post -- opinions please :)

So MH and I finally decided on names! We find out in 10 days if it's a boy or a girl.

Girl: Cameron Jane (Jane is my mom's middle name and my middle name). We've had this one picked out since before I was pregnant. The few people I told IRL scrunched their noses and told me they didn't like it but we love it so WDYT?

Boy: Rory Lewis (I think we're for sure on Lewis but might use the middle name Edward). Lewis is my Grandad's middle name and Edward is his first name. I think Lewis sounds better with Rory but MH kind of likes Edward. So Rory Lewis or Rory Edward? We haven't told anyone the first name, how do you feel about it?

I love Cameron for a girl! And Jane is a super cute middle name, especially if it has meaning. I also love love Lewis! I'm not sold on Rory, but that's probably because I went to school with a weird one. My grandpa is Lewis and might have used the name had my sister not claimed it. I think someone will always dislike the name you choose, but who cares if YOU love it?

I really like Cameron! I have always liked Cameron for a girl and it goes really well with Jane. Rory is NMS but I think I like Rory Edward better than Lewis.

Just remember it's your kid no one elses, chose what you love! Big Smile

Congrats! I love Cameron, (also considered spelling as Cameran). I had thought about the nn Cammie. So cute! To be honest Rory is nms (may be bc of one I used to know), but of the two I like Rory Lewis better.

I just say, choose what you love! Our family and friends don't like our names that we have picked out, but we love them and that's all that's important!

I like Cameron, very cute.

for the boy name I prefer Rory Edward. Edward is such a classy, dignified name whereas for me Lewis is just meh.

I love them both, although I might spell Cameron with a K. My son is Cameron, and as a teacher, every female Cameron I have ever had starts with a K.

If you love the girl name and won't change it, I'm not sure the point of that part of this question. Personally I'm not a fan of Cameron for a girl, but it's not my baby. Jane is DD's middle name, so I love that of course

I'm also not a fan of Rory. I find it hard to say, it doesn't flow off the tongue easily to me. I prefer Rory Lewis to Rory Edward.

I think both names are great! Really either Edward or Lewis would be fine middle names. I wouldn't worry about it too much until you find out what you are having.

I say go with what you like, not with what other people like. Since you are asking for opinions I will just say that I am not big fan of Camron as a girl's name. I like Rory. Edward is ok, but I wouldn't name my son that because of the huge popularity of it right now due to its Twilight association.

I actually really like the name Cameron for a girl. Jane is beautiful!

Rory is NMS, especially for a boy. I realize that it is a boy's name but thanks to Gilmore Girls, I associate it with a girl. Both Lewis and Edward are great names.

I am a fan of Cameron....but only for a boy. DH and I were going to use it, but the meaning of "crooked nose" bothered me. Rory is, to me, a girly name (brings to mind the name Laurie/Lori and Gilmore Girls) Sorry!

However, considering the middle names I would have to pick Rory Lewis over Rory Edward.
