It may have been something you were all able to fight off that he couldn't yet, it has always been a mystery to me where some babies get certain illnesses from, I'm sure you are doing great! Hang in there!
That would be terrible! Ear infections are just awful! Did your first have ear infections?
My oldest had them a lot! Getting tubes was the best thing we did!
Maybe some water from a bath settled in his ear and caused some issues? I don't know if that is even possible. Or it could have been a virus that all of you have been exposed to, but because you have more immunity to it, no one else got sick.

my first got tubes at 9 months old
I asked the dr about bath water and she said that wouldn't do it. The pedi showed me pics and differences between adult and baby ears and basically because he has congestion, it's blocking the way his ear drains because in babies the ears drain to the adenoids in the nose (as I understand it) and if his nose is swollen and congested it an't drain.
I also thought about us passing it on without knowing.
Re: 2.5 mo old DS has ear infection #2
Im so sorry, it must be rough to watch him suffer, plus I am sure his discomfort is making taking care of him a little more trying than usual.
I hope he gets well soon!
I hope he is feeling much better soon!
