Reed has a black eye...
After the baby shower for my SIL on Saturday, Reed was running around in his sock feet. We have hard word floors and he slipped and hit his cheek on the toy storage case. He woke up on Sunday with a cut under his eye and a shiner. He looks like a tough guy. I felt embarassed taking him out in public yesterday, like I am a neglectful mom or something.

Nolan had his first Shiner last week! He fell on his face on my bed frame. I felt terrible, and he was screaming with a bloody nose, and gouge next to his eye!
I know what you mean about feeling terrible! But every boy gets one! Don't fret!

poor little guy.
ginny fell at teevee girl's birthday party. she landed on her face and scraped the skin off her nose. she now has a giant bruise in the center of her forehead. between the screaming (see post below) and bruises I'm waiting for family services to show up at my door. eeeek!

Poor Reed! Hope his shiner heals quickly for Mommy's sake.
If it makes you feel any better, I had TWO black eyes at the sametime when I was little. I got one from going down the stairs in my walker at the baby-sitters house. Then a few days later bonked my eye/face on my highchair. My mom said she got the worse looks when she'd take me out.
Poor guy!
DS's nose had just healed from the scraping he gave it last week. I am sure these will just the first of many, many cuts, black eyes and bruises.
