We registered for the same Peg Perego in gray b/c it is gender neutral.

  • While I too like purple, I think that seat is quite girly. Love the gray though!

  • Thanks for the input, ladies. Looks like gray is running away with it!

  • I don't consider purple gender neutral so I would definitely choose the gray. Also I think the gray looks better with the design of the circles.

  • I like the grey one better, but in this case I would totally let DH have his way.  Anytime DH expressed a preference on baby gear (as long as safety/functionality wasn't a concern) I let him have his way.  It is good for him to be interested, and helps me build 'points' for when I have a strong opinion ;)
  • I registered for peg in grey, I think the circles are great.

I think the gray looks more neutral- but I agree with this (to a point).  Plus, I love purple, so if my DH was gunning for that color I'd be all for it.

  • While the purple one isn't overly feminine, it's not gender neutral IMO.

Ask you DH if he'll get mad when people refer to your son as "she" when he's in that seat. It'll happen, especially with a purple carseat. We had a gender neutral seat (Graco Deco) and DD would be in head-to-toe pink and still be called a boy...

  • We bought the same one in all black! :)

I voted for the gray one simply b/c you wanted gender neautral. I love the purple but its all girl to me.

This is hands down the biggest thing stopping me from getting the grey. He's been super hands off about anything registry/nursery/decor related and when he latched on to purple, I just went with it. It never occurred to me to change it until I started getting comments from people looking at my registry. I asked him his opinion last night and he said he truly doesn't care, but I was originally so happy to give him something that he picked out himself. Ugh.

  • Go for the grey.  It looks like it will hide any barn dirt better.  Stick out tongue

I know right??  DS was in a gender neutral car seat, green and brown, but it had a blue topper on it and he would have blue on from his cap to his socks and I had people say several times, 'What a beautiful little girl!"  Really??

  • I am doing the purple car seat. We are having a girl but chose it b/c if we have a boy later on we would definitely use it for him. Our wedding colors where purple and silver b/c purple is both DH and mine favorite color. SO we think purple is gender natural.
