Yep, Rowan Kate is our name
Rowan is a name I threw out kind of jokingly, because I love the sound and also... it's my favourite type of yarn
DH surprised me by LOVING the name, and we haven't really found one we liked as much since!
Kate is DH's sisters middle name.
I am almost embarrassed to tell knitters our name choice, but in the end I think it's great to have a name that symbolizes the thing I am most passionate about in life. Also, it is a real name so it's not like I am naming our baby Lang or Noro or something, haha!
We are more set on middle names than first names. We'll find out the sex tomorrow if the baby cooperates. If it's a boy the middle name will either be my maiden name or Clyde after my dad and grandfather; if it's a girl the middle name will be Ursula (or possibly Sue) after my grandmother.
We still haven't decided on first names, but we like Malachi for a boy and Abigail and Livia for a girl. We haven't really sat down and compared favorites or anything, so I think after the a/s we'll get more serious about picking something.
Picking out names is so stressful! It's harder than when we decided to start trying, lol!
DH is dead set on Cash for a boy, but I'm not completely sold. I do like Cash Alexander though, so we'll see.
For a girl we both like Francesca (nn Frankie) Marie, but now I'm not so sure. I also like Brooklyn Rose, but this is a recent development and I haven't brought it up to DH. We find out on 11 days, so we'll probably get more serious then.
We have a few floating around but I'm more of a no name until I meet him kinda person.
Right now we have Preston, Reid and Desmond. Still not sure yet. I'm liking Preston and Reid or even Preston Reid, whereas DH is loving Desmond. We'll have to wait and see.
We find out the gender on Saturday and I can't wait!
Girl: Alaina Catherine
Boy : Colton Andrew - For years we had Nolan picked out for a boy if we had another son but in the past few months some stuff has happened that has given it a very negative association so I don't think we can use it anymore .. or at least I can't. DH isn't as superstitious as I am. I LOVE the name so it kinda sucks but Colton was our second pick so I'm 98% certain it will be it.
We like to have at least 2 and name LO when we meet him/her. It took us 2 days to name #1.....
Girl: Berrit Marie (which it will probably be if a girl, but i think we still need at least 1 more...)
Boy: our only thought right now is Rory Howard (but I'm not a big fan....), we need to start thinking about this...
Our middle names are set-family names, but other than Berrit which was carried over from naming #1, we have no real "yes" names
If baby is a boy: Parker Jude (middle name is not set in stone) Parker is a family name.
If baby is a girl: I think will just wait till she gets here since my oldest girl is not either of the names we had picked out ahead of time for her.
I sure hope "Parker" looks like a "Parker" because we are really set on this name.
girl...Piper Rose (Rose is for DH's grandmother)
boy...Asher Robert (Robert is for my grandfather)
My little boy's name is Jameson David.
My Grandfather who was a huge part of my life growing up was named James. My sister used James as a middle name for my nephew. So we went with Jameson that way he will still be his own person but still be named after someone special. And David is from his daddy of course.
We are team green and are probably going to keep 3-5 names of each sex. Then after LO arrives we will settle.
Some that we have are
Girl: Lucy Noel, Margaret (Maggie), and Khalan (pronounced kay-lin), Evelyn
Boy: Sean Michael, Oliver, Eli, Alexander
