Desperately need childcare asap

My MIL has been caring for our daughters and on Friday morning she tragically took her own life after battling depression. We need to figure out childcare for my girls immediately so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

We are in Buda and only need someone Mon-Thurs. DD1 is in school 3 days a week so it is only DD2 on those 3 days. Ideally we would like for someone to come to our house, but are open to a small in-home childcare setting with a couple of other children. We would LOVE to do a nanny share with someone to help with costs if we can find the right family and make the schedule work.

Please, please let me know if you have any recommendations whatsoever. My girls had it so good with my MIL and it is really hard to have to "replace" her. Crying Also, any good thoughts and prayers for my DH and FIL would be most appreciated as they are having a REALLY rough time...both of them blaming themselves, etc. DH is an only child so I am doing it all pretty much because my DH is so emotional. FIL is 80 years old and has never fully recovered from a tragic car accident he was in 5 years ago where he suffered from a brain injury. So I have a lot on me trying to stay strong for both of them and plan this whole funeral on my own. Luckily my mom has really stepped in to help me but man, I had no idea how much was involved in picking a cemetary and plots and arranging the entire funeral, reception, rosary, viewing, etc. Sad

Oh my goodness!! That is so tragic. I'm so sorry for your DH, FIL, you, and of course your girls. I am sure that it will be hard on them too since they spent so much time with her. I hope that you can find child care soon.

I am so very sorry! I live in Buda as well and know a place opened up on Main Street. Buda Drug Store was advertising for them, so Dr. Gray, the pharmacist might have information on them if you want some first hand knowledge on the center. If you need anything, I am off for the summer & would gladly help out. I will keep an ear out for nannies in the area. What a heart-breaking situation to go through, especially with the girls. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Have you tried www.sittercity.com? They have lots and lots of nannies on the list. You have to become a member but maybe the "trial" will be worth it... I wish I more suggestions.
