Lynnwood Gymboree: Anybody know what happened?

We just signed up for a 1-month membership on Monday (bought a Groupon and am just now redeeming it). We went to our first class today and found out that they are closing that location today. All of the regulars and staff were obviously really sad. The mood was strange! Anyway, does anyone know what happened and why they are closing so suddenly??

NO WAY! That makes me so sad - we just got a letter from Teacher Louie saying how much she missed Jackson and wanted him to come back. I wonder if they were having financial issues? I have no clue about why they are closing - but I am totally bummed out

We went Wednesday for our first class (got a Groupon too) and heard the same thing. I was not happy, but I felt really bad for the employees too. The manager said she'd not been ordering much merchandise for a while, so my guess is they weren't turning enough of a profit so corporate shut them down. We're planning to go to the Redmond one, just to use up the Groupon, but I certainly don't expect to go for the open gym sessions, just the classes. And I definitely won't be continuing afterwards- it's too far from Everett to be realistic for us. I thought about trying to get a refund but it was a gift from my mom, who wants to see us do the classes if possible, so I suppose I can deal with it for 4 weeks. Super lamesauce.

Why Redmond & not Belle Square? I've been to the B. Square Gymboree & it's SO nice! Way cleaner/nicer than the Lynnwood location.

From where I live they're about the same distance away. I am more familiar w/ Redmond, but I just looked at the schedule and Bellevue looks little better for us, so I might do that instead.

I went online to look at the schedule the other day (I also had the groupon) and saw the "this location is closed". I was like, what?!! Can you use the groupon at Redmond?
