Cannon Beach OR Recommendations?

We're contemplating taking the kiddos to Cannon Beach in September/October for some tide pooling fun.

Any recommendations on places to stay?

Little brother isn't sleeping solidly through the night - so a two bedroom unit close or in town would be dandy.  I don't need TWO kiddos who aren't sleeping and on vacation.  That'd be an epic fail in the relaxation department.

    I LOVE Cannon Beach! We have stayed at the Sand Trap Inn which is Townhouses and Cottages. We have also stayed at their sister property Inn at Haystack Rock. The main town area is just down the hill. There isn't a ton in town I don't believe, except maybe private condos or homes for rent and I have no experience with that. We also like the Tolovana Inn. It's an actual Hotel and they have suites with multiple rooms, a kitchenette, etc. It's a little further away from the downtown area, but Cannon Beach is so small it's not really "far" per se. Hope that helps.

    We stay in at The Ocean Lodge, it is right on the Ocean.  It is beautiful, dog friendly, and they always have cookies in the cookie jar in the lobby. You can open the door and hear the waves so relaxing.  Just a short walk to Haystack rock.

    Fun!  We love Cannon Beach!  We have stayed at Tolvana before and liked it.  We also have stayed at The Surf Sand which is just down from Haystack rock and right on the beach.  They have suites so you could get 2 rooms.  Its a little expensive but well worth it I think.

    I know last summer Angie stayed some place that I am pretty sure was on the beach. I'll try and find where it was, and let you know.

    We LOVE hood canal!  just spent the 4th there crabbing and playing on the beach.  I like it so much better than ocean shores or sandy beaches because there is a lot more for the kids to do.  Also its a much quicker car ride : )  We have rented a few great houses up there, which is great because the kids have their own room!

    We love cannon beach too!  The surfsand is really nice, but kinda pricey.

     We are going to the OR coast the first week of August and are renting a house in manzanita - it's a little south of Cannon Beach.  We thought a rental house would be nice so we don't have to eat out the whole time.. plus, it's right on the beach!
