Ok ladies, I need popular opinion here. 
I want to do all of these things, like, RIGHT NOW... but I don't want to jump the gun and be sitting around all anxious until he gets here. I'm currently 31.5 weeks.
When do you plan on:
....finishing the nursery (if you haven't already)?
....washing LO's clothes?
....packing the hospital bag?
....installing the car seat?
TTC #1 for 4 years with every trick in the book.

When do you plan on:
....finishing the nursery (if you haven't already)? Just waiting for some items I hope people will get us at the next baby shower
....washing LO's clothes? I've done the first set and put away in dresser. I need to do the next group I got at first baby shower this past weekend
....packing the hospital bag? hmmm probably early August
....installing the car seat? This is arriving soon as a gift, so I'll probably install early August so dogs can get used to it
1) We have no nursery to speak of, but we want the pack and play, swing, etc up by mid-August to get the cat used to it.
2) It's not going to be more than a load or so for us, so whenever I get around to it honestly, this is something Monsieur can do when I'm in the hospital)
3) 3 weeks from my due date--I'm convinced I'm going to go early.
3) Once we have transported all my shower gifts from my parents house to our apartment and we won't need the backseat space (again, mid-August)
When do you plan on:
finishing the nursery (if you haven't already)? Waiting on DH to finish the crib. He is making it so I'm hoping by mid-August. I still haven't set anything up in the room yet either b/c its our guest room and his family will be here next weekend for the shower.
washing LO's clothes? Probably mid-August
packing the hospital bag? Probably right before we leave for the hospital. I suppose I should think about that a little earlier though!
installing the car seat? DH will probably do that when he comes back to the hospital to get us. I don't want it in the car longer than necessary in case we do have an accident.
Next week should be my last week at work(at one of 2 jobs) and then I will have the time and hopefully energy to get everything done! Nothing's ready yet.

....finishing the nursery (if you haven't already)? I want it done by the end of July, but a friend is building our last piece of furniture, so that may take some extra time. Plus my shower isn't until 8/14, so I know there will still be a few things coming then. I want it as done as it can possibly be by the end of July, though.
....washing LO's clothes? I've done a load of NB and 0-3 month stuff and a load of 3-6 month stuff already, and I have another load of 6-9 month stuff and a few other new things still to wash. I'm in no rush with that stuff, and I still need to fold and put away the stuff I already have washed anyway - it's all piled in the crib until I get the drawer liners for the dresser.
....packing the hospital bag? Mid-late august, probably (37-ish weeks). If I need it before then, I'll have bigger concerns than having my toothbrush handy.
....installing the car seat? Same as packing a bag, I think. Though I would like DH to make sure he knows how to do it sooner than that. I really don't want to be the fool checking out of the hospital and needing hospital security to re-install the car seat for me because it's wrong.

....finishing the nursery (if you haven't already)? It's almost all done but after my shower next month and we buy the last of the essentials the next day.
....washing LO's clothes? Since they are so small it will probably be only a load or 2, after the shower next month
....packing the hospital bag? early in September
....installing the car seat? Very end of August/early September. I will keep the base installed in my car and we will grab the seat on our way out the door to the hospital (or I will keep in in the back of my Jeep so we don't forget it).
No nursery this time around but last time finished it a month before baby came. LO's clothes are already washed and in the drawers and hospital bags have been packed. I had my last baby at 37 1/2 wks and want to make sure that everything is ready. My husband will probably just install the car seat once the baby is born. We have two other LOs already who need all the space they can get when they travel.
If you're anything like most first timers, you won't be just sitting around, you'll be trying to rest before the LO comes. You can never have everything ready to go too early because at this point, you just never know when your LO will decide to break out. Good luck

finishing the nursery (if you haven't already)? I'd like to be done by the end of August. I am a little cautious and superstitious about some of this stuff, so there are so projects that won't be done until after LO is born, i.e. DH is making a name sign out of train tickets that won't be started until after she is born (We are having a travel inspired nursery).
....washing LO's clothes? Again end of August. We have 7-8 huge bags of clothes ranging from NB to 18 mos from my niece, so I need to wash, sort, organize and store all those accordingly. I'll start washing and sorting the first weekend in August and just see how long it takes.
....packing the hospital bag? 2 weeks before my due date.
....installing the car seat? 2 weeks before my due date we'll install the base and just leave the car seat itself in storage.
Due 9/10, but based on family history may go a bit early. I am crossing my fingers for ~9/1.
.....finishing the nursery (if you haven't already)? Furniture not yet in at the store, but ordered. Likely will be delivered August 12 and assembled that weekend. We don't really have a nursery beyond that, just dresser and crib going in our bedroom.
....washing LO's clothes? Mid-end of August, I think. I'd like to do it at my parents house so I can wash things twice and it'll be free (apartment building with shared, paid laundry). Like others, only doing NB and some 0-3 sizes before he is born
....packing the hospital bag? Not sure. Mid-August, I guess.
....installing the car seat? Made an appointment with police department to get it installed for Aug 6 (earlier than needed, but since I had to schedule it wanted to get it over with and then will just leave base in the car, which we don't use all that much anyway)

....packing the hospital bag? probably next weekend just to be safe
....installing the car seat? August 20th (we have a class) We are due Sept. 13

Despite our best efforts to keep our August schedule pretty open, we have plans those first few weekends so I'm going to start working on a lot of things in about 2 weeks before time really starts to slip away from us.

....finishing the nursery (if you haven't already)? - It will probably be a work in progress until the end of August. Hopefully I'll be done with it by the first weekend in September.
....washing LO's clothes? - Probably will start doing this the beginning of August so I can start organizing the room after my showers.
....packing the hospital bag? - DH wants to do this now, but I'll probably start this at the beginning of August too.
....installing the car seat? - I think I'll probably have DH do this by mid-August just in case.
Nursery - we don't have a free weekend until the 2nd weekend of August, so I doubt we'll get the guest bed removed from the room and the crib assembled before then. Once that's done it shouldn't take too long to put together.
Washing Clothes - I'll start doing that in August
Hospital Bag - mid September (due 9.21)
Car Seat - we'll be taking DH's SUV to the hospital but we'll install the bases in both vehicles just in case. I'm thinking mid September for that as well.
Washing clothes: As we get them. Right now we only have about 8 sleepers and onesies in 0-3 month size; nothing newborn and not much bigger than that. We're team green though.
Packing the hospital bag: 32 weeks.
Installing the car seat: 34 weeks (we know we're getting it at our shower the weekend prior).
Finishing the nursery: ??? Don't know. I'm stuck, need inspiration. We've painted, and are getting our bedding at our 33-week shower, but I really don't know what else to do with it. So sometime between now and the end...

Finishing the nursery- probably mid-late August. I think I'll order the dresser at the beginning of August so it should be in a few weeks after that.
Washing LO's clothes- I have washed most of them, I have a small pile left and I know I'll probably get some clothes at the shower.
Hospital Bag- I'm going to start next week- only because my BFF is going to visit for a week and she KU too, so I thought that it would be fun to do with her.
Install the car seat- I think we'll do that Labor Day weekend. I'll be 37ish weeks around then.

....washing LO's clothes? I have washed some but will wash everything after my shower in mid/late August.
....packing the hospital bag? Probably as soon as August arrives. I've started making a list of what I will want to put in the bag (I'm a list person).
....installing the car seat? I will not do this ahead of time. I *might* put the base in, but I won't be driving around with the carseat in the car before LO arrives. I'm paranoid that we will be in an accident, and the carseat will be unusable before LO even gets here.

....finishing the nursery (if you haven't already)? Waiting to see what we get at the shower in a couple weeks. However, I've started to clear out the room. Would like to have things organized by the end of August.
....washing LO's clothes? Don't have any clothes yet. Will probably just wash a few outfits rather than everything. I've heard it is best to leave the tags on things until you want to use them. In case size and season don't match up, you can return them.
....packing the hospital bag? Have already started doing this just in case. I want to have it ready in the next few weeks. I also put a check list with it and am checking off items as they go in. This way, my husband will know what's missing from the bag if I end up having to go to the hospital and he needs to bring it.
....installing the car seat? We'll probably install the base by the end of August and have someone check that it is installed correctly. Also, we're going to try to put a doll or stuffed animal about the size of a newborn in the carseat and adjust the straps so that they are more or less right. Nurse w/ my insurance co's maternity support program recommended doing this so that we don't have to mess with things too much when leaving the hospital

....washing LO's clothes? I'm only planning on washing a couple of the 0-3 month ones and not washing any of the newborn just incase she is too big for them. My family tends to have big babies.
....packing the hospital bag? Maybe 38-39 weeks. I figure with my first I'll probably be a little late.
....installing the car seat? Probably 36-38 weeks. I'll let DH take care of that and schedule the appointment with the police department.

Basically, I have this month off, but I am not doing anything baby related since I have to do house related things first. I also do not have my shower until the end of the month, so I don't have most of the items I'm thinking I'll need yet and want to see what I get and what I still have to purchase.
