We have a heart beat!

I had my first u/s this morning, which was a pretty emotionally charged experience, considering the last time I was in that room was when the jerkwad doctor told me we were "DOOMED TO FAIL."But!Today we saw a baby with a heartbeat. :)They didn't measure the rate because their policy is that if the rate appears normal, they won't subject the baby to the high-frequency ultrasound waves needed to calculate the heart rate. But they said it was normal like, 4 times. Baby measured 3 days behind my due date based on FF, but I'm still pleased. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. We have to furiously clean our house today in preparation for mini-vacay tomorrow and house guests while we're gone, but I may try to PIP later if I can figure out how to set up the scanner to my laptop.One more milestone has been reached! Thanks for the encouraging words last night -- I read them all this morning on my way out the door hoping they would help me chill out.
