Success after IF

nsaifr: Favorite store for cheap jeans?

I am not interested in spending $100+ on jeans right now as I'm not happy with my body/ size . . . but I have to have something to wear on the weekends!  I'm looking for casual, cute, and cheap.  I'm a definite pear shape, so anything cut for teenagers probably won't work.

I also don't have a ton of time to shop.  And, oh, by the way - I hate shopping, in general, so I'd like this to be as easy and painless as possible.

Where should I start?

Re: nsaifr: Favorite store for cheap jeans?

  • My go-to place for good jeans is always Gap.  They aren't cheap, but are usually well under $100 (I usually use a coupon and get them for $45-50.  I find that I can go to one store and try on a bunch of different styles until I find the perfect pair.  :)

  • I'm going to second the Gap. I got my last pair at a Gap outlet and paid around $25 and I LOVE them more than any $$$ pair of jeans I've ever had.

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • When I was still losing weight and didn't want to spend a lot on jeans,  I bought jeans from NY & Co.  They often have buy one get one half off.

  • Not sure if these exist in your area, but TJ Maxx & Marshalls are always good bets...name brands at a discount.  Otherwise, Old Navy - I'm pear-shaped too and oftentimes their pants don't fit me right, but sometimes I'll score a pair that fit.

  • I was surprised to find a decent pair at Target a few months ago -- $20-25. I tried them on a whim and like them a lot (Mossimo curvy fit, I think).
After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!

  • Maurice's. In the past I asked two friends separately what kind of jeans they were wearing cuz they were so cute. Both game from Maurice's. I have since bought a pair or two, they're $29! Hard to beat.

  • I got some cropped jeans from the Vera Wang line at Kohls and I love them.  They are cut higher to hold in my post baby belly (no muffin top!) but they are still cute and dont look like mom jeans.
