My name is Jaime. When I was younger I used to hate how my name was spelled differently. But in High School I started to love how my name is spelled. It means "Love" in French.
It's different from the normal spelling, but it's still a correct way to spell it. So personally, I love it spelled Jaime. Seems more feminine to me. But could be because it's my name and I'm used to it!
Good Luck!
P.S. Jaime Allison seems like a good combo to me! (my middle name is Lee).
My little cousin's name is Allison and it's because of our grandfather Alan. So it's a great way to name her after your dad!
I don't care for Jamie, there's something about it that I can't put my finger on. If I had to choose I'd go with Jamie instead of Jaime. Allison is pretty.
Have you ever considered Alana? It may sound weird, but I really like Alana James.

j'aime means "I love/like" in French, aimer being the verb "to love/like". I grew up with Jaime being pronounced "hi-may" and used for males so I don't associate it with females. I'd prefer the spelling Jamie. Jamie Allison is a very pretty name
We did this. Claudia after FIL Claudio and Jaclyn after my dad Jack. I love the tribute. With DS his middle names are family names on my mom and MIL's sides (as Nancy and Maggi didn't lend themselves to boys names, lol).
Re: WDYT- girl name honoring both Grandfathers
Jemma/Gemma?
Alanna? Alaina?
