....that their baby will come out the opposite sex of what you've been told? Now that we've painted her nursery and gotten all the bedding, etc., I (probably irrationally) fear that she's going to come out a boy.
I had to have an amnio, so we know for sure LO is a boy. Trust me though, if we didnt have that kind of proof I would definitly be nervous about it until I gave birth. No matter how many money shots we saw on ultrasound!
me too, even tho I've had 3 different people say its a girl, the u/s tech at my NT scan, the tech and dr at my a/s, I have a friend who was told throughout her entire pregnancy she was having a girl and it turned out to be a boy, but that was 9 years ago. My OB said she has never had that happen while she's been practicing so that helped me a little...
if he comes out a girl we are in trouble because we all saw that he was defnitely a BOY at our A/S!! LOL.
i did fear it with DD though--i think it is a common worry when they tell you it is a girl because the view is not as defining as that of a boy during an u/s.

Not with this one as they have said boy 3 times now and I have an elective today so I will get them to check again.
However with my son I was 34 weeks when i found out that "she" was a he. I had to return everything I could and he ended up having some yellow clothing along with a few Girlish sleepers (nothing pink just looked girlish). I had a total of 5 ultrasounds with my son and only the last male ultrasound dude found his penis... how do you miss a penis? lol

yes! at 15-16ish weeks we were told probably a girl, but didn't buy pink clothes or tell anyone since "probably" wasn't very confident and our doctor was actually visably pissed the US tech said anything. Then at A/S we were told 100% boy. I mean I saw it, and that tech seemed very confident. But still, going to ask them to make sure again at our next ultrasound!

This. We didn't tell anyone that we had the amnio done, and a few people have commented, "Oh, you could still be surprised and get a girl instead!" We just laugh it off.

Re: Anyone else fear.....
I worried too. I went in for an elective today (long story) and she was confirmed to indeed still be a girl.
It's possible for a mistake to have been made, but unlikely. The elective definitely was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
