Chocolate Cake

I am looking for a fabulous, sinfully delicious chocolate cake recipe. Please post yours or a link to it! (Yes, I've already looked are various online recipes. I just thought I'd see what you wonderful ladies come up with.) Thanks!

Re: Chocolate Cake

  • My fav by far is on the back of the Hershey's cocoa powder container. So so good, you really don't even need frosting. If I'm feeling really decadent I will make chocolate mousse as the filling between a layer cake. Omg.

  • this is my favorite. it's actually vegan, but you really wouldn't know it. it's originally from the Post Punk Kitchen website, but they took it down i guess, and i had to search high and low to find someone who had it written out.

i use a pretty standard chocolate frosting recipe, but my "secret" is that, when the cake is almost done, i put a layer of chocolate chips on top while it's still in the oven. then when i pull it out, i spread those across and make a layer of straight up chocolate that is crunchy between the cake & the frosting. SOOOO good.

  • i love the wellesley fudge cake recipe on the inside of the box of Baker's brand unsweetened chocolate. The brownies are also divine.
