Tired of being mommy...

I'm tired of being 'mommy' 24/7. What do I do?

  • Babysitter.  Even two hours alone roaming Target or getting groceries and taking out the trash without juggling the baby too can make you feel more like you again and not just like a mommy.

  • Sometimes on the weekend we go to the ILs house...yesterday i had a thought...

Why do I have to go.....they really want to see DS, not me

So I sent off DS and DH with  some bottles and enjoyed the first time in four months my house with just me..no DH and no DS...

I took a really long shower, watched tv, ate some ice cream (out of the box..haha)...I cant believe i didnt think of sending them off earlier...

Is there a way you could have SO visit family with DS?

    I've wondered this too.

OP, once a week I leave LO with DH and go to Target by myself in the evening. Last week I spent 40 minutes looking for the perfect shade of nail polish. It wasn't that I am that picky..it's that I didn't have anyone messing with me or needing me...so I could take allllll the time I wanted. Bliss.

  • Go get yourself a pedicure!  I did that last weekend and it was WONDERFUL!
  • i'm so happy that i am not the only one who views a trip to target as alone time or a fun trip. the other day i took addy to a super target further down the street to do something different.

but OP, do like the others said and just kick your family out, or get a couple hours to yourself for a while. the small break will do wonders for you.

  • Ughh My issue is my DS loves going shopping with me so I love being out and shopping with him... Its always a joy. He doesnt like being home like me... So now what? I think a girls day or night together would do. even if its just lunch! DS doesnt like going out to eat as much as shopping! so were both good.

  • Sometimes DH will take DS with him to run a few errands and just that hour or two alone at home makes a big difference. So, if LO likes to go shopping, send him with his/her daddy!  :)

I came to this same realization this weekend. Though I have to admit before they left I felt SO guilty and a little sad but I knew it was only for a few hours. I get out alone plenty and I work but having the house to myself was GLORIOUS!!
