  My friend uses hers on a full bladder, and said it took 30 minutes to find it the first time at about 11 weeks. Just remember not to get worried if you don't hear it...it may  take a little while. Good Luck

  I was looking on youtube for ya but they all show the monitor working, not really where they are placing it. I found if you type Angelsounds fetal doppler in youtube, more ladies show where they are placing their dopplers at. Hope this helps

  Thanks!  I'll keep playing with it to see if I can get it to work.  The first time I tried I found the probe wasn't even inserted all the way. More fun with dopplers tomorrow.

  It took me about 10 minutes to find it the first time, the 2nd time I couldn't find it and 5 minutes the 3rd time.  If you aren't having success, put it down and come back later.  It could be that your uterus is tilted (then you won't hear it for a few more weeks) or that the baby's in a bad position.  

  If it helps, both times I found it, it was with the doppler flat against my skin with some pressure.  It was on the light crease you get from sitting (about 1-1.5 inches about my hair line) and it was either to the left of my center line or right of my centerline by about 1/2 inch.  Just start just above the hairline and slowly move from left to right.  If you go for a few inches and get nothing, you might need to reapply some gel.
