Bottle question! Tommee Tippee?

Hey gals! FTM here. Planning on breastfeeding, but a lot of bottle feeding breast milk as well- so daddy can enjoy night time feedings too :)

Anywho, overwhelmed by bottle choices, I def have the medela bottles on the registry that go with the pump but wanted another type too just in case baby girl isnt a fan.

Has anyone actually used the Tommee Tippee bottles from BRU? Ive read great reviews- but have yet heard from anyone who has used them. What do you think?

Re: Bottle question! Tommee Tippee?

  • My neighbor - the girl I went for to do my registry - uses them and absolutely swears by them. She tried almost everything for her DD's colic, and they were the one thing that seemed to help. I've registered for the Tommee Tippee brand but obviously have yet to see how they work for my LO!

  • TT bottles are one of the few that we didn't try with DS, but I can say that we HATED the Medela bottles. When he would suck, the nipple would collapse, and then he wouldn't be able to get anything out until we pulled it out of his mouth, let it get back to the normal shape, etc.

We did love Dr. Brown's bottles, and they also fit pumps so you can pump right into them. Or, I would frequently pump into Medela bottles and then store them in the fridge, but would pour the milk into a Dr. Brown's bottle if I was going to use it (rather than freezing it).

  • My niece used TT bottles - she always pumped and then bottle fed her baby. I used Playtex drop ins and really liked them.

  • I EBF for 8 months with DS but if we were out somewhere he and he needed a bottle we used Dr. Browns. They are awesome.
  • I used TT bottles at first for DS and liked them but the nipple would collapse from time to time and my LO liked the smaller nipple so we went with the Dr. Browns and those worked great!

  • we use their sippy cups and LOVE them. We were sent them for a review from Tommee Tippy for my blog. They are truely leak proof. I have some never used born frees in my cupboard though because my son wouldn't take a bottle. and with our first we tried several different bottles (dr. browns and advent, gerber, playtex) and they all leaked, so I would def. Give tommee Tippee a try

  • I used the tommee tippee bottles for my DD and willl use them again for this lo. I loved them. The nipple is designed to simulate a breast. We had no trouble with nipple confusion ever, she never refused a bottle either. I recommend them.

  • I will definitely agree... the Dr. Browns bottle parts are really obnoxious to wash but once he really took to them, there was no turning back!  They were great to help with no gassy issues too :)

  • I'm glad to see someone else posted this as I also registered for these. A friend of mine used Dr. Brown's and said they were good but she hated washing all the parts and I know DH and I would hate it too.
