And my most flame-able confession: DH and I won't be using any form of birth control, should I ever get over my crippling fear of postpartum sex. We never have, for religious/personal reasons. I'm kind of hoping that BFing keeps AF away for quite some time though.
Out of curiosity - do you do natural family planning, pulling out... or truly nothing at all? Not that I consider pulling out "birth control" (and I know people have different opinions on whether NFP is birth control or not), but I'm just wondering if you make any effort to avoid pregnancy or if it's just a "whatever happens, happens" sort of approach.
Not flame-able at all! DH and I are taking the same approach, on his request! I offered to take BC, but he refuses. He wants to the the NFP and pulling out. Of course, I'm smart enough to know that it's not foolproof. But if I end up KU, he'll learn from this experience! LOL! I always wanted a big family, so if we end up pregnant before we want to start trying (one year from now), it's OK with me.
And another... On the Fourth, DH and I were driving back home from Orlando, and we got a late start. M got hungry and instead of pulling over and adding 45 min to the drive, I crawled in the backseat and BFed while DH drove. I don't plan to make this a regular thing. I was on pins and needles the whole time, and DH drove in the slow lane and was extra careful.
Wow that sounds really irresponsible...I hope you never do that again.
DH and I were doing the deed last night, and DS started fussing in the middle of it. He was fed and dry, so I let him CIO for about 5 minutes while we finished.
And my most flame-able confession: DH and I won't be using any form of birth control, should I ever get over my crippling fear of postpartum sex. We never have, for religious/personal reasons. I'm kind of hoping that BFing keeps AF away for quite some time though.
You mention your religion on occasion and I have always wondered what religion you follow. I don't think you'll ever tell and I was assuming pentecostal, but you cut your hair short and I think you posted a pic where you wore pants...
One of the theaters in my area is showing all 7 HP movies next week, 1 and 2 on Monday, 3 and 4 on Tuesday, 5 and 6 on Wednesday, and 7.1 and 7.2 (at midnight) on Thursday. Ticket is $45 for all movies. Movies start at 6pm and are 2-2.5 hours long each (as you well know if you're a fan). Yes, I asked (very sweetly) for DH to watch the boys EVERY NIGHT next week so I can go with a friend. But it's the last HP premiere and I've been to EVERY HP premiere since they started making the movies. I figure, I'm home with them most days by myself, he can handle his children for a few hours each night for a few nights, right?
Eh, I'll probably lose my resolve on Sunday night and not go. Not sure I can handle putting HP before my kids!
Also, I'm getting very irritated with the family members who've been watching the boys. They keep insisting that I buy them clothes, formula and diapers to keep at their places for the boys. I'm sorry, but I send a fully stocked diaper bag with 12 diapers (6 diapers/baby), 4 outfits (2 outfits/baby), and a full can of formula (all to be returned with the boys) when I drop them off. For the 8 hours they have them, they shouldn't need to use more than that. I don't feel like I need to fully stock their houses with baby stuff when I provide them plenty of stuff with which to care for them.
And I'm getting so tired of my MIL telling me to switch my preemies off the special formula DESIGNED FOR PREEMIES in favor of soy because "DH couldn't handle soy, I bet the boys are allergic to their formula!" No, they have reflux, they're not allergic to their formula. They've been taking formula since day 1 (Similac Neosure) since I could never produce enough BM for both of the them and they weren't good latchers. They never had any issues until recently, and those issues are few and far between now that they're on Zantac. As their mother, I'm gonna say it's reflux and not a milk allergy. Besides, I did fine on regular formula and half their genes come from me. So STFU, MIL! You don't know everything (even though you think you do!).
Sorry for a long post, I guess I'm having a bad day :P
I don't wear a shirt at home anymore. What's the point?? Part of it came from when we had thrush and I was letting them air out and get some sun, part of it is just that it's SO much easier, having to nurse every 2-3 hrs. Also, it's hot. DH doesn't complain.
I also have not had PP sex. We've fooled around, but the sex scares me and my OB hasn't seen me yet (his fault, not mine) so I'm waiting to get the all clear in 2 weeks. Even then...

Hahaha, I'm Baptist. The denomination itself doesn't have any restrictions on birth control. And I do cut my hair and wear pants. It's my parents and sisters that I've mentioned as being very strict with regard to religion.

Wildly NBR but I am so glad OSU football was stripped of all their wins today. I am from Ohio but went to an SEC school and it is so damn annoying that everyone at home thinks they are the best team ever and that the sun shines out of Tressel's azz. I don't feel bad when I post something on FB that is anti-OSU for all my Ohio friends and family to see... Except my BIL. He and I are fans of such polar opposite teams (college and pro football) that it actually effects our relationship. Sad, I know. And if you understood this post, we are now legally required to be BFFs.
My TMI FFFC: I'm jealous of everyone's posts about them having sex with their husbands because I haven't had sex with my husband since last November, and won't again until December. On the bright side, I am getting some minor reconstructive surgery so when we DO get to have freaky crazy sex, my vajay will be 'new and improved'!
Also, when DS wakes up in the morning I lay in bed as long as possible before going to get him.

I am an OSU fan (grew up that way, my family lives there) but I am happy that this happened too. Unfortunately, all get punished for some stupid people.
We bedshare, Some nights all 4 of us end up in our bed. We have a king size bed and it's roomy enough for us all. I am always between Kaitlin and the rest of the family so she's safe. We haven't even set up our crib this time, I've thought about it, but there's nowhere to put it anyway.
DH and I haven't had sex yet, mostly due to lack of opportunity.
I am planning on going out for drinks with my SO in 2 weeks, and I am excited. Which makes me feel bad because I know a lot of mom's say they don't leave their babies for the first year.

I misread this as "going out for drinks with my LO," and I was inwardly flaming your FFFC. Haha.

I have been cleared for sex and DH has asked for it, but I have absolutely zero interest. I have LO hanging on me nearly 24/7 and if I have a free 15 minutes, I would much rather sleep.

Amen! I want to sleep too! I make the extra effort for the sake of our marriage. We really need the time to reconnect,

We bed share and D sleeps in between DH and I and he's next to the dog. We have a king size bed and the dog only weighs half of what D does. The worst the dog does is sometimes she tries to steal his little blanket I have him wrapped it.

I grew up less than 45 minutes from campus and have had OSU shoved down my throat since I was little. We even had a "Beat Michigan" theme day at school. I hate that this is affecting athletes that had nothing to do with it, but I couldn't be happier something is happening.

I love the faces that D makes when he cries. So when my kid is screaming I am laughing at him. It's just too cute.
I always hear people say that they are constantly checking their baby's while they are sleeping to make sure they are breathing. I have never done that. Never. If he is sleeping I am passed the eff out.
hahaha i did this for the first time last night because she slept the longest she had ever slept and i woke up to both boobs leaking and i was like wtf what happened to the baby???
I secretly think it's hilarious when DD#1 hits MIL. MIL insists on holding her against her will and DD asks multiple times to get down and finally gets angry and hits or headbuts her. You think she'd learn by now. (It's hard to get upset with her when she has politely asked to get down several times....) I also hate when MIL talks about the birth of my 2nd DD, She likes to announce to the world that Emmaline "split me wide open.".... and makes my labor sound like a much more dramatic even than it actually was. Seriously lady,Who really wants to hear about what the baby did to my Vajay jay any how? I don't want to ever let my sister babysit my girls... she hardly pays attention to her own kids and they're constantly destroying my Mom's house (they live with my mom). I'm afraid her children will gang up on my daughters and there will be nothing left of them when I come home.
