Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Really weird teething order.

DD2, at 15 months, has had only two teeth come through -- her front bottom incisors. Last night I found a third tooth halfway in: a top molar!

DD1 had a couple of teeth a little out of the "typical" order, but she didn't get two, skip all the others and go straight to molars! Sheesh.

Anybody else's DC have really out of whack teething going on?

Re: Really weird teething order.

  • DS is also 15 months and has 4 teeth - 2 top and bottom central incisors. He hasn't had a new tooth in months, and I kept waiting for the lateral incisors but, nope, he also has a top molar coming in.

  • DD got her two front bottom incisors, then the four top incisors, then all four first-year molars.  She recently got one of her other bottom incisors and is working on the other.  DS was the same - his bottom lateral incisors came after the molars.  They're both late teethers, too.

  • My DS2 has been getting his teeth in a really weird order too.  Right now he has the 4 top center teeth, has only 3 bottom teeth but 3 molars.  Where's that 4th center bottom, and now where is that 4th molar?  It was a least a few months ago that he got that 3rd bottom, and at least a month since his 3rd molar.
