3rd Trimester

I was 27 weeks on Monday. I didn't even realize that put me into the 3rd trimester, it just sort of snuck up on me I guess! Anyway, so I've switched to the 3rd trimester boards, and they are freaking me out! All the posts seem to be about mucous plugs, dilating, getting induced in x amount of hours, etc. I don't know why I'm starting to panic, but I am a little. I feel like I have nothing ready and am totally unprepared. Don't get me wrong, I'm so excited about my baby girl, but I am having these little moments of panic. Anyone else out there feeling the same way??

    Yeah-I freak out a little sometimes.  But I think ..well it's gonna happen and I'll make it through just like I have the past 24 weeks.  That's how I looked at raising my first two.  I had two babies exactly one year apart and so many people asked me how I did it.  I just did it.  I have a hard time thinking about giving birth.  I can't watch the live births on the Baby Story.  I actually change the channel and come back when the baby is born.  It freaks me out to see others give birth but I was fine when it was me in there:)

    Trust me you are not alone. I hit 27 weeks sunday and I just realized this is the start of 3rd tri. Also, tomorrow I will be exactly 3 months away from my due date. I go from moments of nervousness to panic to excitement. We have an empty room with one wall painted and a closet full of clothes but other than that I feel like we are so unprepared. We have no furniture, no name picked out and nowhere yet for her to sleep. Hopefully it'll all come together soon.

    I'm with you!  When I started reading 3rd tri posts about people at their due dates or getting induced I felt like "I don't belong in here!"  Plus, my cousin that was 12 weeks ahead of me had her baby this week and it freaks me out that I'm so soon behind her!  I remember when I got the BFP in January that October seemed so far off, but it's really flying by!  Eek!

    Glad I'm not alone! We are also buying a house, and are close to closing on it. The house needs to be painted and some of the flooring (carpet) needs to be taken up and replaced. I'm one of those people who think about all the details ALL the time, so I lay awake thinking about what needs to be done. DH is good about taking one step at a time and helping calm me down. Unless it is about the baby and he tends to panic too! I think maybe I will feel better when I'm in the new house with the nursery set up....maybe lol. I just need to quit looking at the 3rd trimester boards because I'm really scared about labor and delivery, and those posts scare me!

    I am really excited. I am so happy to be in the third trimester. I know that it can be scary but its also the very best trimester.
