Catering for 1st Bday

Scene: our house/backyard, 12-2pm on a Saturday, prob 20 or so guests including a few kids, loose safari theme

Location: Northlake Mall area, but willing to drive a bit to pick up.

Food: we are thinking BBQ type food and cupcakes for dessert.  Open to other suggestions.

    We get catering from Fox Bros BBQ all the time - excellent stuff.

    We ordered bbq and sides from Shane's Rib Shack for my son's 2nd birthday party that was last weekend.  They were awesome to work with and everyone loved the food.  There are tons of locations so there is probably one near you... and they delivered for a very small fee (I think maybe it was $15?).  They'll even provide all of the utensils, plates, and napkins if you want and if you order drinks they'll bring ice, cups, lids, etc.

    Old Hickory House is close to there and we like their BBQ. It is on the Tucker side of 285 in an office park on Northlake Pkwy.

    You could also check with Mellie and see if they are cooking next weekend. I hear her beans are the best!

    Oh and Carolyn's cupcakes behind The Grove on Lavista is excellent. They are awesome people and make yummy cupcakes. She made some mini cupcakes for a friend's party that were a great size for a kid party since they usually only eat the icing. :)

    For Bialey's 1st and 2nd birthday we did  Low Country BBQ. They will deliver if you order over $150 which we did. It was so nice not to have to go out to get it.

    We ordered Shane's for Matthew's party earlier this month.  Same thing, everyone loved the food, had way more than we needed, but it was all so great!
