Hard Rock in soft water?

We're traveling to the east coast this weekend for my grandfather's funeral. My parents have a front loading washer and soft water. I'm used to a top loading portable washer with wicked hard water. I'm bringing along some Hard Rock because my mum doesn't have diaper safe detergent. Any tips on using the Hard Rock with soft water? Washing with a front loader?

    I'd try 1/4 of your usual amount and go from there.  (maybe less depending on the size of your portable)

    My portable does about 1/2 of what a full size washer would do. We use 1 tbs. Since I'll be able to wash twice as much, maybe I'll do 1/2 tbs and see how it goes.

    I would probably do 1/4 of what the bag tells you to use.  We have "normal" water and have a heck of a time not having bubbles even after an additional cycle.  The flashlight is my friend!
