At 28 weeks, I measured 30. At 30, I measured 32. At 32 I measured 34 1/2.
At my 28 weeks appointment my nurse told me that they didn't worry about measuring large until it was consistent. Well, in my opinion, it's consistent now! I am going to bring it up at my next appointment but I'm pretty impatient and would like to know what this usually results in ![]()
Re: What happens if you consistently measure large?
Your fundal height measurement can be +/- 2cm and be normal. It sounds like your are measuring a bit bigger but still in normal range. It could mean that your due date is off, could be position of baby, etc
Im sure if they are concerned that they will do an ultrasound...try not to stress...uit sounds like your on the higher end of normal
Ohhh ok I thought my OB had said 2 or more was considered large or small. I feel a little better, thanks.
I also forgot to mention that I'm at risk for PTL because of my blood pressure (I don't really understand but last time it was 140/40 and they freaked out and told me that I was at risk) and because I've been having BH like crazy. Does that make a difference?
I am not a medical prof...
i think the BP might be an issue to watch but i think the fundal height is within a normal range.
I would talk to your OB and see if you need to monitor your BP at home
Also, BH are normal...i had them from week 30 until delivery and while everyone is different I know lots of women who felt more BH with their 2nd...but if you feel the BH are becoming a timed pattern ever you should call your OB
