What bottles do you use on those occasions in which you

do not breast feed?

I have to register and I have no idea what to register for? 

I am debating between a Medela or an Ameda?  Does it make a difference when choosing what bottles to use?

    Different babies prefer different bottles. I recommend registering for at least 2 different types to see if your LO has a preference. My LO has always been fine with the medela bottles.

    DD drank so so fast with the medelas that she would think she was still hungry even when she ate a lot and she spit up like a mad women.  We had great success with Born Free botttles.

    Every baby is different.  Register for a single bottle from several different brands and then you can get more of the brand baby likes.

    For a BF baby, one thing you will def want is a wide neck bottle- it mimics the latch best.

    Ditto pp, different babies will prefer different bottles.   My DS was also EBF and he would only take Born Free.  So far DH has given DD the occasional bottle and she also will take Born Free so we are going with those again.  I also recommended Born Free to a couple mom-friends and their kids also like them.  They have a few extra parts but never leak.

    I have an Ameda pump and love it.  Used it for a year with DS and it is still going strong with DD.  I like that it is a closed system.  I've never had any problems with it.  FWIW my sister has a Medela PIS and she got moisture in her tubing which turned to black mold.  That was after pumping less than 4 months.  Gross.

    ToBeMrsC6907, I did not know that the Medela's were not a closed system.  Is this true with all of their models?  Thanks for the Born Free tip, I will be including this brand to my registry.

    We use the First Years Breastflow bottles.  They work amazing, because they mimic breastfeeding.  I registered for Playtex Drop ins, he hated them.  I would recommend not stocking up until you know what baby will take.

    We tried ThinkBaby and BreastFlow and she likes the BreastFlow ones.
