I'm going to be totally cliche here and start by saying that I can't really believe I'm writing this right now, it still seems like a dream that I'm trying to process! I got my positive HPT on the 3rd and I'm still POAS just to make it seem more real.
I thought for SURE I was out this cycle. My usual LP length is about10-11 days, so when my chart took a nosedive on 10DPO I was positive that I was out. The next day I didn't even temp, because I didn't want to see my temp go down even further. I was extra bummed that day because this would have been the best cycle to get KU with my job and taking time off from it next year. So when I didn't start on 11DPO I was a little surprised. On 12DPO I went and bought some tests but wanted to test with FMU so I waited until the next day.
At 3:30am on the 3rd I couldn't hold it any longer so got up a peed on a pink dye test (Answer brand) and bam! two dark lines popped up! I was shaking like a leaf! I had saved my FMU, so I was able to retested with a digi (First Response Gold) and it confirmed the positive result!
I told DH when he got home from work that morning and he was soooo excited! He immediately started talking about nursery colors lol.
What we did this cycle: pretty good timed sex (its all on my chart if you want to see the details), PreSeed internally, B6 and B12 every day, and I did prop my hips after sex for about 5-10 min around my fertile period (no history of UTIs).
Symptoms: The big one was that my boobs haven't stopped hurting. Usually they are sore from O day until they day my period comes, but it hasn't gone away. I've also had dull cramps starting on 11DPO on and off, they feel just like period cramps. My skin broke out after O which usually doesn't happen. I also had a metallic taste in my mouth yesterday, but it was really mild.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this board, without knowing about temping/charting I firmly believe that I would not be writing this right now. You are a group of awesome, sassy, intelligent, wonderful women and I was lucky enough to stumble onto this board and be a part of it for a time. Thank you so very much! ![]()
