Booster seat, how much can you lean the seat back?

DS was good in it yesterday for the most part when he fell asleep but when we pulled into the driveway he totally slumped forward, soooo not ok.  We have the car seat pretty upright, not as far upright as it goes put close to it.  How far back can you lean it and still be safe?

  • I was also wondering this (ours still has the high back on it) J looks really upright and comfortable and it makes me want to use her old one that you guys shamed me out of !!

  • I don't think it needs to be completely upright, but he also should not be leaning back. It's fine to recline slightly, though. Just remember that in a crash, they will travel all the way forward, so the further laid back they are, the more force they're going to take.
