Trying to Get Pregnant

Evening Primrose Oil Users!

I rarely have EWCM. I've quit drinking caffeine & pretty much only drink water. I drank 1 to 2 cups decaf green tea every day last cycle from AF to O and didn't notice any increase in EWCM. I've been using Pre-Seed to help supplement the EWCM, however, I'd really like my body to generate some!

I'm trying Evening Primrose Oil this cycle, along with green tea.  So my question is: has anyone who has used Evening Primrose Oil noticed an increase in EWCM?

Re: Evening Primrose Oil Users!

  • I'm interested to see what people have to say too. I only started taking it this cycle but I didn't have EWCM, just creamy. I hope it really does work because I absolutely HATE Green Tea and refuse to drink it.
    PAIF/SAIF/etc welcome!

  • EPO really increased my EWCM the 4 cycles I took it. You can compare my charts. I took it Dec-March. I am going to use it again starting next cycle.

  • I took EPO everyday the cycle I got my BFP. To tell you the truth, I never really saw an increase in EWCM though. I also drank the green tea from CD-O and drank the juice they suggest to drink everyday (sorry I just went blank on what juice it is!, the one every talks about). And made DH take Vitamin C everyday. It was the last cycle I was going to try eveything that I had heard of! And it worked! Who knows if any of that helped or not, but it was the only cycle I did all that. And it was our 6 cycle TTC. Hope that helps!

  • TK, hope you don't mind if I piggyback on your question! I've always heard of icky side effects associated with EPO which is why I haven't looked seriously into taking it. For those who have used it, have you noticed anything unusual or different?

I usually have very long, anov cycles with awful awful cramps. My 2nd cycle off BCP I took EPO and I had a much shorter cycle (only 37 days, short for me!) It was still anov and I did not have much EWCM, but I had ZERO cramps. I have heard some people get spotting but I didn't experience any. I am going to take EPO again next cycle if this is not our lucky one!

That's really interesting Dixie; I hope it works for you again if you have the need to use it!
