Attn: New Moms! Good push gift?

I need the input of new moms out there! My cousin just had her first baby; a little boy I am soo thrilled for her! Even though I got her 2 gifts already (was invited to 2 different baby showers for her), we are pretty close & I'd like to get her something for when I meet the little guy.

My budget is around $25-$30 and I would like to get her something special. I know everyone is going to be bringing her flowers & onesies galore, so I don't want to jump on that bandwagon.

What was something you received after you had your baby that you loved, needed, thought was special, used a lot, etc.? My boss had a good idea of getting her a GC to a professional picture-taking studio. I thought that was a pretty good idea, but if I only get her a GC for $25 knowing she has to put more $ towards pictures, is that tacky?

Thoughts & Ideas would be great!

I got one that is similar, but is just a circle with DDs name, birth date, and stats. I wore it all the time when she was born. Now I have to look for something with both girls names!

Does she have a noise machine for baby? I love my Homedics Sound Spa for baby. It has like 2 songs and a bunch of sounds and a light projector with 3 different discs that project pictures onto the ceiling. It was only $20. It also has a timer, so you can set the music to shut off when you want it to. I bought it at BB&B, but have seen it at Target also.

After I had DS1 my bestie brought me a necklace she got from things remebered with a footprint charm and my DS's name and birthday engraved on the back. I really love it and wear it all the time (although now I have to add DS2 to it.)

My cousin brought me food and it was so good- way better than hospital food! Or, you could get her a giftcard for her favorite restaurant or food delivery place so she doesn't have to cook a meal one night.

One of my girlfriends made a bag of nice chocolates and little snacks I could eat one-handed while feeding the baby. She also included a cute antibacterial hand gel and some other little trinkets just for me. I thought it was sweet and absolutely loved it!

A friend brought me a super nice pair of pajama's and some bath salts. Eventhough it took me awhile to use the bath salts, the pajama's were a nice treat for myself. You tend to lose yourself for awhile so it was nice that she thought of me.

Of all the gifts, Maxi dresses have been my FAVORITE. I gained too much weight so it's still a PITA to get an outfit together, plus they're SO EASY for nursing! A gift card to go get herself a pedicure would be great too.

My sister bought me a bracelet from here and had DS's initials engraved on the heart charm part of the bracelet. Super sweet! There is a huge variety of bracelets on this site and I love mine!
