If You're On Your Second Cycle of Clomid...

... are you finding the side effects are hitting you harder this cycle than last cycle? 

I didn't find Clomid to be that bad for me the first 2 times I took it, but this cycle I HATE it!  Horrible headaches, mood swings, and hot flashes during the day AND at night... plus I'm dripping watery CM constantly (which I find weird because last time I was pretty dried out).  

Sorry to complain - I just wasn't anticipating having it be so rough this time around!  Anyone else have this happen?

    I too am on my 2nd round of clomid. I am not sure if it's the clomid or if I am coming down with a cold, but I am feeling more tired and nauseous than I was the first time and I had hot flashes last night which I didn;t have the 1st month. How many mg are you on?

    June/July 2011 100 mg Clomid + TS IUI#1 & IUI 2 - BFN :-(
    Forced break due to DH getting spinal surgery in August 2011
    IVF - January 2012: BFN
    FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
    After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!

    I'm on 100mg.  Last cycle I started with 50mg and it didn't work, so they jacked it up to 100mg and that did work... so we're sticking with 100 mg for now.

    I start my second round tomorrow, not looking forward to it.....had some s/e with the first round (hot flashes, headache, bloating, ovaries felt huge).  Blah.

    Feel better soon!

    My side affects were the worst on the 1st round.  I guess everyone is different.

    After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!
    IVF March 2012 - BFP! - Severe OHSS = 8 days in the hospital in kidney failure

    I'm on my second round. I didn't notice anything worse this time. Lots of hot flashes, a little moody, but not too bad. But I'm the same as you, lots of wet CM both times around. I brought an extra pair of underwear and changed in the middle of work! YUCK! I was wondering about using a panty liner next time, would that effect anything, you think?

    I am on 100 as well. Strange that the s/e seem to get worse, you would they they would lessen. Hopefully the go away for you soon! Feel better!

    I'm on my 2nd round of the same cycle. Last pill tonight. I'm so lucky because I am not getting any side effects. The most I am getting is that it makes me very sleepy so I sleep more while I'm on it.


    04/07/11- PCOS Diagnosis w/GYN. Put on Metformin (1500 mgs)
    04/25/11- 1st consultation with RE (Confirmed PCOS & Anovulation)
    05/09/11-HSG-All clear! 05/13/11-SA-Normal. Found out on 2/14/12, low Morph (1%).
    06/17/11-10 days of Clomid (100, 150) No response.
    07/10/11-03/20/12- 5 Injectable (Follistim) IUI cycles; 4 BFN, 1 C/P. (stims ranged from 11 days to 25 days)
    05/28/12-Diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. 75 mcg Synthroid.

    IVF with ICSI in June/July 2013 = BFP!. Beta # 1 = 123. Beta # 2 = 252. Due March 25th. Baby boy arrived March 27, 2013!

    FET #1 - 10/4/14 = BFP!! Beta #1 = 179. Beta # 2 = 499. Due June 22nd.

    Ive only had the one round so far, 50mg cd3-7. The s/e were pretty bad. Mood swings, night sweats, discharge...I really really hope this works and I don't need to up the dosage. My poor DH started calling them my crazy pills, which is not a great thing to say to a woman taking said crazy pills! Confused

    This was the same for me, 2nd round was better than the first. I was on 100mg both cycles.
