DH entered DD in some "Mini Miss Firecracker" baby pageant for next weekend and apparently expects me to dress her and escort her for it. I LOATHE that toddlers & tiaras stuff but i figure we're already entered, it's small and local, has a nice prize, and shes gonna cry the whole time anyways lol, so why not.
Anyways, the rules say "red white or blue pageant wear" which Google says means "GIANT poofy sparkly dress." Grrr. Does anyone who knows anything about the pageant circuit know where to get one of these? Do most people make them themselves?
Re: Was anyone ever on the pageant circuit?
Hmmm you could always try making her a red white and blue tutu. Then maybe buy a plain colored onesie to wear with it and embellish it with sequins or stars or ribbon or something. I know you can google "how to make a no sew tutu" and it will give you some good tutorials.
If you have more time maybe try etsy.com? Or I'm sure there is some website to buy them off of. I know they can be quite expensive.
It's next weekend, 4th of July themed, so I don't think I'd have time to order anything online. Hah definitely NOT going to spend too much on it, I think I'm just going to try to DIY it. Thx ladies
pook- I love the name Georgia!
