Bloody Show or just yuck after an internal

So I've had several internals already, and each time I've had some spotting...mainly brownish yuck enough to fill a panty liner. But last night, after an internal earlier that day and already spotting as usual, I went to the bathroom and when I wiped, I had a sizeable about a very red mucousy looking stuff (and some had dropped in the toilet too). So I'm not sure if it was some of the bloody show or if it was just stirred up by the exam. Those of you that have had the BS, how much is there and does it continue for awhile? I've heard that there isn't much volume to it...although the name would make you think otherwise....TIA

    Good question.... I'm interested at well.

    No advice here.... but when I was being induced on Monday (have been sent home since) I had several internals (5-6) and was bleeding since the first one as well as clotting.  On Tuesday I lost what I thought was my mucus plug but it was bloody.  So now you have me wondering.... was it the mucus plug that was bloody from the internals?  Or was it the bloody show?

    Are they the same consistency?   I have been continuing to spot on pantyliners as well.

    When I had my internal done last week I had brownish discharge mixed with a lil mucus. Your discharge could have been because of the exam but I would def call and make sure that the red mucus is normal. Have you noticed any more red tinged mucus afterwards? Any cramping?

    I lost my plug with my first  baby and it was light pink and brownish.  I had an internal the other day and the doctor said that it was normal to spot a bit since she touched my cervix to check for dialation.  It is normal as long as it is not super heavy.  I would be concerned if you didnt stop bleeding.

    FWIW, I had 3 days of brown/light pink, mucusy discharge with my 37w internal and doc said it was totally normal.  38w internal spotting barely lasted half a day.  Other than that, I'm a FTM so I don't have anything else of much help :/
