twisting and hands at face while eating?

I hate hate hate nursing lately. All ds does is claw at me and pinch and grab at me. It hurts. He is constantly kicking his feet and wiggling too.

It's like it doesn't come out fast enough or enough at a time for him.  I think he's been in a growth spurt for like 3 weeks because he is eating every 3 hrs around the clock.

I'm try nursing in a quiet room, laying down, etc. Nothing works and its getting really annoying.

Is this normal and what can I do?

Re: twisting and hands at face while eating?

  • It's probably a combination of him being distracted and him wanting it to come faster. It could also be that your supply has taken a dip and he's frustrated that there is not more. If he's going through a growth spurt, it might take a bit for your supply to catch up with his demand. Add in some extra water to your day and just try to press onward! It will calm down again. :)
