I finally found some at our grocery store, but its $11.97 for a 26 oz bag. Does that seem like a lot? I've never been able to find it here (even at the health food store in the bulk aisle. who knows why no one has it.) so I have no clue if that is a reasonable price or not.
Also I was planning on just roasting asparagus and tossing it in the quinoa and serving it with chicken breast. What else could I put in it?
Re: quinoa question...pretty sure some of you make it.
If that's the only place you can find it, it's not an awful price. It is kind of high.
You can put anything under the sun in quinoa. I like to use feta, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, kalamata olives and some lemon juice. Yum!
You can put anything in it. It's like rice everything works well. We love it.
As for pricing at get it at costco and can't remember what I pay but Amazon has it in bulk from Bob's Red Mill and Arrowhead for 36 and 32 cents (27 cents with subscribe and save) an ounce which is cheaper than your store. Both are prime shipping eligible.
