Didn't you post recently about having an iron deficiency? I wonder if that's what's going on with me. I would say I have more energy than I did in the first tri, but I get SO winded, so easily. I'm not in great shape, but no worse than I was with my previous pregnancy. I've also been feeling lightheaded a lot if I don't eat constantly. I know those are normal parts of pregnancy, but moreso in the first tri, it seems. How & when were you diagnosed with the deficiency?

Sorry to be so long answering...I was taking a nap ;-)
I was diagnosed when I was pregnant with Caroline...and so my NP just put me on supplements automatically when I complained of the same symptoms this time around.
She tested it when I had been on the iron supps about a month...and it was still super low.
I'm trying to increase it through diet...but that is hard. I'm having the most luck with a fortified cereal (something like Total, or lately, Frosted Flakes, lol).
I have ZERO stamina. If I come up our stairs, I feel like my legs weigh a thousand lbs a piece. It is hard, but it is getting better. I can tell I am improving everyday.
I hope you feel better! Severe anemia is NO fun.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
With my pregnancy with Caroline, it was a routine test. I remember being tired, but I wasn't working, and I wasn't chasing a toddler...so I had lots of time to do NOTHING. Literally, I did nothing. I would get up, eat, go back to bed, get up eat again, then take a nap on the couch...till like 2 or 3 pm. I slept like I was getting paid to do it.
There were days when I had to force myself to get up and get a shower before my DH got home, just so he wouldn't think I was a complete slob. So...yeah, I was tired, but I just figured that was just pregnancy. Then when the iron came back super low, it made sense.
This time, I knew to complain about it...and my NP was pretty proactive, because I was so short of breath and fatigued.
FWIW, anemia is SUPER common in pregnancy. Baby take what he/she needs, and Mama is left to suffer the consequences. If you are feeling badly, definitely complain to your MW. The test is just regular blood work, and its something they need to check anyway.
