S/O whats the longest you've left LO with H?

this is more for SAHMs, but it can apply to anyone.

I'm just curious. It seems that some H's have never been alone with LO.

Before now, the longest (straight) that H had been alone with LO was 2.5 days when I had an OOT job interview. I've done one day trip to chicago. Right now we are in the middle of a 10 day stint that H and LO are visiting the inlaws while I go to school full time. He's also been a SAHD for a month (but I was home at night). Normally, I'm a SAHM, although I'm returning to work in August.

Has anyone never left LO with H for more than an hour or two?

when I was doing my last yoga teacher training stint, it was 5 hours friday evening (after he got back from work), 10 hours saturday, 5 hours sunday. he definitely needed a "break" after those weekends - a few of which were back to back. :P

Almost 12 hrs one time. It was cute. He sent me pictures of them at the cajun festival.

I'm not a SAHM, but still DH has only been alone with DD for maybe 4 hrs at the most...

I actually never realized that. She is very attached to me and that is hard on him! I should probably give them more time alone, maybe it would help!

DH was left with DD for 48 hours or so (a weekend) before DS was born.

Since then, the longest he's been with both kids alone is about 13 hours.

I'm not a SAHM (and DD goes to daycare all day), but the longest is probably a few hours. However, DD has spent the night at her grandparents, and H and DS have been alone while I've been on work trips (4-5 days). But there just hasn't been an occasion for me to leave DD for any length of time yet.

I am a working mom, but DH has never been alone with both LOs for longer than a few hours. Which is hysterical in a bitter kind of way, because with his work schedule (he works nights and owns his own lawn business on the side), I am alone with both of them on the regular, usually for all but a few hours a day. The longest he has been alone with DS was when I went to a work conference out of town and spent 2 nights there. But they were both work days, so DS was at daycare during the day. DH was only alone with him at night.

5 days when DS was 7 months old when I went to a dance convention in NYC. Regularly though maybe a few hours at a time. DH is great with LO so I've never worried.

I went to an OOT bachelorette party for a weekend....Friday night to Sunday afternoon and left DS with DH. He was about 10 months old and they both survived.

Not sure when that'll happen again since #2 will be here soon.

8 hours. This summer I may go for a girls trip to Naples for a week, I'm kind of having second thoughts because I've never been away from DS overnight and it just makes me nervous.

I just got back from a trip where I took DD2 with me to go to Ohio for a long weekend for my sister's baby shower, and DH took off work to take care of DD1. DD2 and I left Thursday morning and didn't get back until Monday afternoon -- so three full days, and two partial days.

I'm still BFing, and DD2 didn't require a seat, so it made the most sense for me to take her. But he would've been fine with either one of them. If I'd left both girls and gone on the trip alone, it would've been a bit crazy for him, but he could've handled it.

He took DD1 to the zoo and her swim lessons, did preschool drop-off and pick-up a couple of times, grocery shopping, etc. and also did things like steam-clean our carpets while I was gone.

About 5 hours, I think. I'm a SAHM and haven't had a need or occasion to be gone from DD longer than that. I am fully confidant DH could handle everything if I left overnight, though. Things might not be done the same way or on the the same schedule as I usually do them, but I know I would come home to a happy girl who was fed and clothed. If I'm lucky she'd even be clean

All day. DH is very hands on. I've never spent a night away from LO but that's just because the opportunity hasn't presented itself.

i've done multiple overnight or weekend things.....the longest was last month for memorial weekend......i was gone 3 nights/4 days to go wine tasting w/the girls.

I work 1-2 days a week and when I work he's with her. Once a month I go out after work, too, so I guess longest would be around 10 1/2 hours. Though in theory she goes to bed at 7, so about half that time he's playing video games :P

We both work FT. But the longest I would say is 8 hrs or so when I have to work a weekend.

I went to a 3 day conference last summer but 2 of the days they went to daycare but he was alone with them overnight for 2 nights which was a big deal... then the saturday he had them all day until I got home about 530pm, so I guess that was probably 24 straight hours. Since then, probably 4 hours at most but that is really just b/c there hasn't been occasion or reason for me to be out for any longer... it has nothing to do w/ trusting him, it is just hard & he tries not to leave me with them for extended periods either (I work f/t) except if he has to b/c of work so I try to save the long time leaving him for when it is really important.

But he did watch them in their first 8 weeks on 3 separate occasions (with help) for several days at a pop when my dad was ill & then passed away & I had to be out of town, so he gets major props for that for sure.

A little over 24 hours. I was in LA for a photoshoot but came back as soon as I could because I was still BFing then. I can leave DS with DH for as long as I want if DH didn't have to go to work and DS wasn't attached to me like glue... but otherwise, DH is perfectly capable of taking care of him.

DH is a SAHD, so he is home with her all the time. I think the longest is 12 hours.

I've been gone overnight probably half a dozen times, but the longest DH has had the two kids alone is 5 days (they were in daycare for one of those days).

I completely agree. The longest was three nights when I went on a girls' trip to NYC when DS was five months old. Since then, he's had him several times for around 3 or 4 hours when I meet girlfriends/go shopping/etc.
