So I told DH...

I waited until the morning after our anniversary date night (which was amazing BTW).

I told him and then rambled on citing all the statistics about how VERY unlikely it is that this results in 2 lines.

His response:

"Well... even if you do get pregnant you'll just m/c it anyway."

Ouch.

But also totally true.

 

At least he's not pissed and seems not to be worried at all.

I'm much calmer now too.

Thanks for talking me off the ledge the other day!

 

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

    I'm just catching up over the long weekend.  Wow, what a scare you had/have. 

    Ouch is right.  Your DH sounds a lot like mine.  Cold, hard facts suck, sometimes it's nice to hear a little sugar-coating. 

    I'm glad that you had a fab anniverasary date night.  And I'm glad to hear that you are feeling calm and he isn't worked up either.

    Ouch is right.

    A little tact would have been lovely...but if you feel better, that's all that counts.

    My DH can be totally clueless about stuff too...I think its a testosterone thing Sad

    YOUCH!!!!!!!! "it'll be fine hunny" probably would have sufficed. My DH is the king of " I'm guaranteed to say the most insensitive sh!t at the exact wrong time" guy so I empathize!
