BF mamas

Does anyone else's LO HATE the bottle?  Ugh.  My DD will occasionally take a bottle as long as she's nursed afterwards.  Last night after waking up from her nap she refused to take a bottle.  She acted like I was putting poison in her mouth.  She just gagged and choked and screamed.  Maybe she was so tired that bottle feeding wasn't a good idea.  I try to give her a bottle every couple of days so she knows how incase I want to go somewhere without her.  She REALLY doesn't like it.  Feel my pain?

I do! My DD will NOT take a bottle at all by anyone...DH, MIL, my mother etc... (we've tried every kind of bottle and nipple) also doesn't take a pacifier.

I love that we really get to bond and she is getting BM but there are some days that I would like a few hours away and to maybe have more than 1 drink!!

    All of this.

  • My DD was the same way...then I went back to work.  Not having Mommy around for hours at a time was the only thing that got her to take a bottle.  She still prefers BFing, and won't take a bottle from me, but she will take one from anyone else willingly.

I've heard of lots of babies who go straight to the sippy cup at 5-6 months and never take a bottle, so at this point, I'd just plan on that!  I also think that once your babies start eating solids and get a little more used to having something in their mouth besides a boob, they'll start getting the idea that there are other ways to eat besides BFing.
