Pregnant moms - how are you feeling?

16.5 weeks and I'm still waiting for the feel-good, glowing phase to begin.  If I'm not nauseous, I'm exhausted or light-headed or dizzy or starving or my back hurts or I'm emotional...this pregnancy and my last are night & day from each other!  I've had 3 breakfasts this morning and still feel famished, light-headed, and slightly nauseous!
Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!

  • Still feeling pretty good, but large.  Not too much longer now.  It's at or over 100 degrees pretty much every day here so I'm ready for some cooler weather.

  • Other than back pain and being exhausted, I'm doing pretty well over here.

  • Things are better this way.  My sex drive is picking back up due to the nausea mostly being gone...and that improves my spirits greatly, lol.

Other than the normal being tired, having no stamina, and really annoying afternoon dizziness...I'm good!!

  • My nausea, fatigue, and general blah-ness lingered until very recently.  I now feel like I'm starting to get some of my old self back!  I do get fairly frequent headaches this pregnancy and I can't eat all the spicy food I was able to with Jude, but all in all, I can't complain!

  • I'm okay.  Not great.  I'm not feeling as bad but I'm having a LOT of cramping and braxton hicks, its pretty scary Im not going to lie.  I go back to the dr on Thursday and I'm looking forward to him putting my mind at ease.  Im going to ask if I can start going every two weeks, four weeks is just too long in my opinion with twins.....

  • Feeling pretty good, but a bit run down. The littlest things seem to wipe me out!

Pretty much this! Yesterday I spent the day puking..I NEVER had any morning sickness with Jake so this is all new to me. BUt this was the first day that I puked for most of the day. I actually had to have DH come home yesterday (he was working) cause I felt so bad and I feel terrible that I am not being the best mom I can be cause I feel so bad..

Otherwise everyday I kind of feel like I have the flu (the best way to descirbe it.) I usually feel OK in the AM and then way worse by the evening..I also have been taking up napping at the same time that J does in the afternoon cause I am soo tired...

  • This pregnancy has been way different for me, too...but the opposite of you Seasoul. :-( except for feeling really tired for the first 10 weeks, I have felt incredibly normal. No nausea, no food aversions. Just sudden crazy hunger (but then I can't eat very much), and a bit of seeing stars when I get up too fast. That's it. I don't know how I got so lucky, but every pregnancy should be like this!

  • Getting around is getting tougher, and as of today I'm officially re-instating my 1st trimester rule of laying down/napping during DD's naptime, but otherwise I'm doing great! I'm absolutely loving all the movement and activity this time around, it's so much fun and makes me feel like this baby is growing big and strong. Actually, some of the kicks are starting to hurt!

  • I'm beginning to feel much better!  The nausea still comes and goes but at least I am not vomiting or dry heaving all day!  Night shifts are still incredibly hard to go through and I take every opportunity to go home if we are overstaffed.  I am falling asleep driving home in the mornings and that scares the crap out of me.  I have to use every trick in the book to keep myself awake.  I remember that a little bit with Patrick's pregnancy but man- I wish I could just quit night shifts for my pregnancy!  If I didn't have to work, I would be just about sailing through this pregnancy at this point.  Oh well!
