The Bump Checklist: Milestone....vent

Okay, so my internet was down for a few days so that is why I'm posting like gangbusters today...

Anywho, so I'm looking at the checklist on here and it says for week 36:  MILESTONE: Last day at work.

Oh reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally...

Must be nice. Confused  Hi ho, hi ho.

Okay thats it.  Vent over.

  • Wow...I hadn't seen that.  You're right; that is downright obnoxious.

I didn't pay attention to the bump checklist (followed the knot checklist for the wedding).  But that would piss me off... are they going to pay my bills?!

  • I don't like how they have baby proofing the home at 36 weeks because the baby can't even turn their head for like a month, let alone crawl and stick things in sockets.

  • Yeah, I noticed that a few weeks ago, and I went "really?" Cause I don't know ANYONE who starts their maternity leave at 36 weeks.

  • I saw that last week too and immediately started to b*tch to MH about it!  What planet is TB on that assumes everyone quits working with a month to go??  I'm here until D Day...

  • I saw that and thought it was silly not only because um I'd like to pay my bills, but also what on earth would a person do for a month at home? It sounds like a good way to drive yourself insane with boredom/waiting for baby.

I was complaining about that to my DH last night!  For me the last day of work will be when I go into labor!  (Hopefully at least.)
  • Okay good....glad I'm not the only one that side-eyed that one when I saw it!

ITA w/you guys.  I'd be bored out of my skull if it weren't for work!  I need the distraction (and the $$$)...if I'm home all I think about is baby crap!  I'm working up until this little guy starts his trip here or I medically just cannot work anymore.

  • I gave up on that checklist months ago at chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis. Oh, and the constant reminders to review money matters. Okay, DH and I waited five years after we got married (after waiting five years just to get married) to start ttc. Money matters have been reviewed. And reviewed again. And altered and then reviewed again.
  • Thank you!  Given, I work from home with DH but our home office is our office and we have dedicated work hours and right now are working far beyond our regular hours so that we don't have to work the week that LO is born, but plan on being right back into the swing of things asap because that's what happens when you own your own biz.  I'll still be answering people's stupid questions and shipping things up until the day I get admitted.
