I had a root canal this week too.  I asked the pedi about the numbing meds.  She said as long as i don't go under i don't need to pump and dump. HTH.

    From my post below, Luckystar also mentioned that she read on kellymom that novacaine was okay and don't need to pump and dump if given that.  Novacaine and Lidocaine are the same thing.  Chances are you were given lidocaine. I think that is standard.

    I wish I would have double checked.  I wouldn't have had to dump all of that.  I just trusted what my dentist was saying.   Sad
