S/o sucking in ( people asking if I'm pregnant when I'm not)

When I gained weight, the dextrose and fluids in the iv's went straight to my stomach. It really did almost look like I was pregnant because my arms and legs hadn't caught up with the weight gain ( it eventually did, but never like a usual weight gain, the was always a belly bump). I had multiple people ask me when I was due. A first I was embarrassed, then I could care less, because it's not like I could help it and try to lose the weight. The people usually felt bad because not only was I not regnant, I was sick lol. Luckily, I am a pretty easy going person so I never freaked out or got mad.

  • I always carried my weight in my stomach. It poofed out like crazy after I ate. I've got skinny arms and chicken legs, I got a bunch of "Oh, when are you due?" before I got pregnant. The first couple times it was embarrassing, then I would get pissed. When it happened while we were TTC I usually ended up feeling really horrible, and get teary over it. I'm sorry people have been saying that to you.

  • Yeah I totally understand. People don't say it anymore now that I lost the water weight. I have also been losing the weight the dextrose ( sugar) made me gain, so I am looking better. It was just a weird and fast way to gain weight so my body just threw it all in front for the first few months. Thank god that's over.

  • I know how ya feel.  I also look like I am rockin the baby belly instead of the beer gut.  Sucks.

Not sure what direction we are headed. Either way, I am up for the ride.
