Do share! And share the story of how you and SO (finally) agreed on a name...
We are naming this LO Jackson Paul. Jackson was not my first choice but DH really loves and I do like it so I agreed with the understanding that I could pick the middle name. Paul is a family name and I am really happy to get to honor the men in my family by using it.
Re: Who has LOs name picked?
Another option as far as I'm concerned is Chiara(because hubby is Italian) but he's not too keen on it.
I guess we'll see. Luckly my side of the family sends me a lot of suggestions, so it's a lot of fun trying out all names
95 days to go!!
We're having a boy named Maxwell Alexander. We both really liked the name Max and has thought of Maximilian first, but with the mn it was just too long. Alexander was FI's mn before he was adopted and had his name changed.
If we were having a girl, her name would have been Elena Marie. I wanted to name her after my grandma (Maria-Elena), but she thought it would be weird, so we kind of changed it up a bit.
i like that. a friend of mine was actually able to use her maiden name as her first son's first name and it's really cute. not all last names work for that, but it's neat when they do.
I guess I shouldn't answer this since we're keeping the name a secret (even from my Bump ladies!). But, we are about 95% sure of the name....it's #500 something on the popularity list (I was adamant about it not being an uber popular name) and I really loved it when I first saw it. We do have a couple similar back ups in case I meet him and decide the one we chose doesn't fit him.
I will share his middle name, Reid, which is my DH's middle name and my FIL's first name. If all else fails and we can't pick a name, he will more than likely have Reid as the first name. I happen to love that name, so it works that it runs in the family on DH's side!
Surprise BFP# 5 - 9/2/16 - Due 5/13/17
For a girl we've picked our favorite (I thought of it and FI absolutely loved it!) Charlotte, we'll call her Charly, middle name pending haha
For a boy we're using my grandfather's name, Samuel, Sam, and for a middle name most likely FI's father's name.. Joesph
We find out the 15th!! 22 more days!! Yay!!
For a boy he will be Jason Anthony M II (obviously after DH!)
For a girl Alix Anne M. (Anne being a feminine form od DH's middle name)
This one will likely be our last as we are advancing in age and would all children to be off to college before we reitre!! LOL (DD already has my middle name so we have to honor DH..I insist)
Girl- Haylee Melody (lee is a family name and Melody is what my husband loves, hes a musician)
Boy- Taylor or Tayden Trevor Allan. (Taylor is a guitar brand, and Im in love with Tayden, Trevor is my older brother who died and allan is after both my grandpa and step dad who are both dead as well )
We find out TOMORROW
We are naming our little boy Holton Brooks.
Holton is my fiance's grandpa's name who passed away a couple years ago, and Brooks we found online and we liked how it sounded!
we arent sharing our name choices with any family, due to the fact that they will have something completely different picked out in their heads.. and will voice their thoughts louder than we would like. since before i was even pregnant, i had about 14 girl names picked out that i liked and about 17 boys names.... outta of those my hubs liked 3, maybe. haha..
we finally settled on Anslee Rae for a girl and Ferryn Grey for a boy.... but nothing is set in stone yet, so we are still keeping our eyes and ears open.
Lillian Faith for us. We'll call her Lily.
It was between Elizabeth Anne (Ellie) and Lillian Faith. MIL's name is Ellen and has gone by Ellie from time to time, so that kept bothering me since she isn't exactly our favorite person in the world. Both my Grandma and my Grandpa (recently deceased) loved to garden and Lillies were their favorite flower, so the name Lily has sentimental value for me. Earlier in this pregnancy, I had a tumor on my ovary and needed surgery to remove it. I lost an ovary and fallopian tube in the process, and it was a pretty stressful time. The MN Faith seemed really appropriate given the circumstances.
DD's name is Emma Grace, and we thought Lillian Faith sounded nice with that.

my read shelf:
Our little boy will be Logan Timothy James *insert last name.*
We had no boy names picked out, because my SO hated everything I came up with and I hated everything he came up. He wanted to name the baby something Japanese, and I was adamant that since we are not Japanese nor do we know the culture, we are not going to name our baby something Japanese. For a girl, we (he) had chosen Alice Rose *insert last name* after much debate over Alice, Angela, and Cecelia.
Once we found out that it was a boy, my mom bought us a baby book. We laid in bed and found a few names we could agree on. He picked out Logan, because of Wolverine (I will always roll my eyes at this, can he not like names that are not a part of popular culture?). I liked the sound of Logan. Timothy is my father, and James honors my paternal grandfather and my maternal grandfather. SO's middle name is Jameson, and SO's father's nickname was Jamie, so it fits quite well.
I know some people might not like the two middle names, but SO and I are pretty sure that this child will be our one and only, and if we have another one, it will be years down the road. I wanted to cover all bases.
We were fighting a lot over boy names, so I'm glad it's a girl...
We decided on Ansley Maesyn and calling her Maesyn. I have always liked the name Mason (or some spelling of it) for a girl, and he was ok with that and we wanted an M name so it worked out. We were thinking about spelling it Masyn, but it just looked a little off or something.
I hadn't really chosen a middle name and we kept going back and forth on a few, and we finally decided we both liked Ansley (and we kind of wanted an "A" name as the first name since my sister/brother/cousin have kids with A names) and decided it sounded better Ansley Maesyn. And we both go by our middle names, so it's ok.
We found out Monday we are having a boy. His name will be Layne Todd S. Layne being after Layne Staley of Alice in Chains who DH and I have loved since we first heard him sing in the 90's. We still to this day listen to AIC almost every day. Todd is DH and FIL middle name.
If we had a girl her name would have been Annalise Catherine S. I liked Annalise and Catherine is MIL first name. DH chose our 1st DD's name so I had the choice
Somehow we just kind of agreed to this name early on...
Aww! I love the name Charlotte!
We're naming our LO Nathan Robert. Nathan is the only first name we could agree on, and Robert is DH's middle name. If we were having a girl, we would have named her Adelynn Dawn. Saving it for next time.

We have a definite boy's name picked out that we both love:
Chase Matthew
We have a girl's name we THINK we're going to use, but aren't 100% yet:
Quinn Noelle
I personally am not finding out what the gender of this baby is but we have decided on names since our US is on Thursday!
if its a girl it will either be Amelia Jean or Chandler ...
haven't really decided on a MN for Chandler.
if its a boy it will either be Levi Elliott or Avery Eugene
Jean & Eugene are after DH's fathers MN.
We had Nolan, Colton and Callum on our list of boy names and decided to go with Nolan Andrew if it's a boy.
As for a girl .. we're still undecided. I have a list of names that I like but DH doesn't like 95% of them. I have a feeling it will end up being Hailey Catherine if it's a girl.
We are Team Green. We have a boy's name and a girl's name picked out.
Girl's name: Honestly, we didn't like a lot of girls names, so it wasn't that hard. We came across the name Sienna and we both loved it. We are pairing with with the middle name Elizabeth (my great grandmother's name.)
Boy's name: We have always loved the names Gabriel and Caleb. I think we are going with the name Gabriel...it just seems right. I can't explain it more than that. Middle name is Thomas after an uncle.
7lbs 13oz 20 inches long
I picked out our 1st born's name, so my husband got to choose this one with me retaining veto rights.
If we have a girl she will be Lily Anne-Maria. It was originally going to be Lily Grace, but since my due date is a few days away from my birthday, H wants to name her after me.
If we have a boy he will be Kolby Thomas. The hubster had a brother who died in a car wreck, and his middle name was Thomas, so that's where that comes from.
Make a pregnancy ticker
If it's a boy, we picked Micah Monroe. Micah we just like, and Monroe is DH's and his grandpa's MN, and DH wants to pass it on. We had it picked out if DD2 was a boy.
For a girl, the first name will be Emilie after my great-grandma. My aunt used to do a family tree site before she passed away. No one has kept up with it, but I still have the link, so I went back looking through family names, and this is the one I really loved. We are still playing with middle names. We have it narrowed to three: Grace, Paige, and Faith.
The boy name was a lot easier to pick than the girl name - for a boy we have chosen Nathaniel Roy - we just "liked" Nathaniel and felt that it's easy but uncommon enough to go with our pretty common last name. Roy is a family name from my side.
For a girl, I think we are settled on Naomi Cynthia. I've been more picky about girls' names because I had a lot of trouble with my own name growing up, and my mom never liked either her first or middle names. Nevertheless, we are using her first name (Cynthia) to honor her because she passed away last year.
May Siggy Challenge: TV mom
DH and I were stuck between 2 names, and, just this week, decided which one we'll go with...FINALLY! LO will be Maddox Cole.
We opted to not use ANY family names. Both of our parents are divorced, and we didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. So, there isn't any fun story or reasoning behind the name. It's just something we liked.
We're HUGE sports fans, so the only prerequisite was that the name would sound good when announced on the baseball field, at the hockey rink, etc. "Now batting...Maddox ______!" haha
