Stupid Mother Fvcking Dogs!!

I know there are a lot of dog lovers here, and I am one of them I just need to vent about my mom's stupid little rat dog.

So my mom gets a dog from the pound because my little cousin wants it and her mom wouldnt get it for her. So of course my mom just gets it without thinking through the realities of having another dog (she has one already) with her work schedule. It gets better, the dog in question is a puppy so he chews everything, will eat anything, barks constantly and isnt house trained. Of course she doesnt have the time to deal/train him so he gets pawned off on us. Normally I would have no problem with this but I have a one month old a 22 month old and a dog of my own to take care of. Not to mention that Cooper (my moms dog) is a little chihuahua rat dog. I have never like small yappy dogs.

So what started this rant? I had gotten DS up from his nap and settled in his high chair to eat lunch and finally gotten DD asleep enough to be put down and not wake up screaming. When what do I hear? The rat dog heaving and vomiting (he eats plants in the backyard). That was my breakingpoint. I am so fvcking sick of cleaning up poop or pee or throwup and having to say sorry to the neighbors becaus the thing wont STFU. I cant bring him to the damn pound, I just feel stuck.

    This kind of sounds like you ought to be upset at your mom, and not the dogs.  The dog is acting like a dog acts.

    Yeah, your anger is pretty much misdirected right now.  If the dog has never been trained, how the hell else would he know how to act other than an untrained bad dog?

    FTR, I have 2 chi's and they are the calmest, sweetest, most non-yappy things ever.  I think it's more a reflection on the owners than anything else when small dogs are allowed to get like that.

    If it's your dog, I agree with Le Olive, he needs a new home. It's not his fault he's not trained- and if you are unable to train him (no flames here) then he needs to be with a family that can. 

    He is with us during the day bc the neighbors in her neighbor hood had enough with the barking. DH is really good with dogs and has tried working with him but no luck so far. And every time I ask my mom if she has figured out some other arrangement she starts to cry saying that she doesnt want to drop him back off at the pound but isnt making any other efforts to find another option.

    I have asked if she wanted me to find another home for him. I would make sure that its a good family that really wanted/ready for a dog. But she said that she is to attached to him. Well of course she is attached she doesnt have to clean up after him.

    I finally told her that if she doesnt come up with another option with in the week then I will make other arangements. He really is a cute dog, I am just overwhelmed with having a newborn and a puppy.
