flaky scalp help?

So im sure my LO has cradle cap or eczema along her hair line and a bit in her scalp. I dont know what to use. Dh grandmother said baby oil let it soak in then wash her hair out. Pedi said it normal and really gave no advice. Damn military doctors... any advice please.. I wash her hair 2 times a week and give her a bath every other night unless she makes a mess of herself.. And i use baby shampoo tear free...She is formula feed so im sure its not what shes eating..we are visiting DH family in July and id like her scalp to look better.. TIA

I know this sounds crazy, but olive oil and then a good long bath to scrub it out works.

We use the baby oil...let it soak in a bit before her bath...and then wash it out. We don't wash her hair every day though. Maybe once a week? She gets a bath every day to help her relax before bed.

olive oil and a hat over night. Wash hair in the morning and comb out the scales.

We had tried everything... olive oil, craddle cap shampoo, etc, and nothing worked. Then we took him to a dermatoligist bc of his eczema and he said to use t-gel shampoo every day or atleast every other day. After about 2 weeks, his head was completely cleared up!

My LO had a horrible flaky scalp and forehead for about 2 months. We tried baby oil, petro. jelly, everything. I finally went to babies r us and got "Little Remedies" Cradle Cap shampoo. Cleared her head up in about a week. Also, pedi said to use a hyrocortizone cream on her forehead and it also cleared right up! Good Luck!

We had the same problem. I used baby oil and a toddler toothbrush and scrubbed her head with it. She loved it and giggled the whole time. After that we washed her hair. Two times of doing this and her scalp was clear.
