    Oh my....those took a little sounding out, but I got it!!
    I think mom was trying to give her daughter a more f*cked up name than hers.....and she succeeded.

    I repeated them over and over again, but still dont know how DD's name is suppose to be pronouced. I feel bad for her future teachers!

    I saw a commercial for this show tonight where the woman had a son named Braxton?!  Good lord, I can only hope his middle or last name isn't Hicks.

    Actually, what's worse is that it's her step-daughter.  Which means that there is more than one person out there assigning these horrible names.

    FWIW, I've got it on now, and mom just married dad (Joshua) less than a year ago or something, so it's actually her step-daughter. So I'm not sure who's responsible for the naming of Saryniti, but it's not the mom.

    Dh had to pause and rewind when he saw the name spelled on the bottom of the screen hehehe...

    Did anyone else catch the contestant named Breely? Actually, they didn't show her name on the screen. It's more likely to be spelled Brieleigh.

    I kinda like Blakely, but we could never use it with our last name, so....

    And WTF is with Saryniti or whatever it was? Its not even pronounced like Serenity, as pps said. That is indeed messed.

    I also have a hard time believing that an older woman (anyone older than say, 18!) would have a name like Ca'Trina. I'll bet she just made that spelling up for the show to make herself seem 'cool and trendy'.

    Those names are all bad but the little girl named Hallee bugged me, too.  It is pronounced like Halle (Berry) but I want to say "Hall ( as in corridor)-ee" when I see it in print.  Her mom's name is Elicia...pronounced like Alicia.
